Who am I....and my first blogging experience

Hello everyone,
My name is Emily Brown, and I am a junior here at IUPUI. I am pursuing a path toward secondary English Education, but really want to be a counselor in a middle school or high school setting. I was told by various teachers that becoming a counselor right off the bat is difficult, and my chances of reaching my goal would be better if I taught first. So here I am...third year and half way done!
I have known for a large portion of my life that I wanted to work in a school setting and with children. I love being in school and quickly realized this when I had to drop out last year. During my semester off, I realized how much I truly love learning; I want to inspire kids to feel that same passion. I went to a large high school and had several teachers over four years. However, I can honestly say that from all my teachers, maybe four of them appeared to be teaching because they loved it. I want to be an addition to this high school staff where students can tell I am teaching because I love it.
My first blogging experience went a lot easier than I figured. I have the worse technology luck, and the blogspot website made creating a blog simple and fun. I am not a certified blogger or anything but if I were to give advice it would be just follow directions, and do not get ahead of yourself. It takes two minutes to read the directions which give a great amount of detail on what exactly to do. I really enjoyed this experience and look forward to continuing the process.
